BRIEF HISTORY
The Institute of Management was formally created on 24 May 2011 during the term of Dr. Gerardo I. Mendoza, third president of BASC, as approved by the BASC Board of Trustees in its meeting of the same date at the BASC Conference Room. However, the institute traces its roots from the former Institute of Bioresource Sciences & Management (IBSM). Relative to the partition of IBSM into the Institute of Management (IM) and Institute of Agriculture, IM is mandated to take charge in the provision of instruction, trainings and supervision for the programs Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. The Institute of Management as a premier distinct educational branch of the Bulacan Agricultural State College is committed to becoming a center of quality and innovative tertiary education that develops learners in becoming effective professionals, executives, entrepreneurs and business leaders who will make a difference locally and internationally.
MISSION
The Institute of Management’s mission is to produce graduates and professional future leaders with strong training in the field of business administration, agribusiness management and hospitality management for the challenges of economic growth and development under competitive local and global settings. OBJECTIVES
- Produce outstanding graduates and professional business leaders receptive to local and international trends
- Integrate and disseminate knowledge and skills relevant to the current demands
- Objectively admit students to courses and programs in accordance with their qualifications
- Promote service towards relevant and meaningful support for the improvement of the community
